The first of two groups of twenty-five officers of UAE Civil Defence travelled to Canada to attend a customized high-rise firefighter training workshop developed and delivered by the Justice Institute of British Columbia (JIBC). The 3-week course, which will be conducted in British Columbia, Canada, will provide the foundational skills for participants who will be responsible for supervising and coordinating emergency response, emphasizing on high-rise fire incidents.
The training will cover topics ranging from understanding typical issues with high-rise fire operations, fire prevention and inspection, incident command system and emergency scene management for emergency incidents, and hands-on, scenario-based tactical field training focused on high-rise fires.
EFRC worked with the Justice Institute of British Columbia (JIBC) and in close cooperation with UAE Civil Defence to assure perfect deliverables and the expected outcome.
